Kapu Haole almost literally translates to non-natives, and they fully embrace that as non-natives to Nashville bringing a taste of the islands to Central Tennessee. They are operating with residencies at Bar Sovereign and No 308 Presents CAMP. When you check them out, you MUST order the Musubi!
Hawkers has brought Asian Fusion to East Nashville for over a year. We finally made our way there with a group of foodie friends and got to see/sample a few dishes. Our favorite of the bunch: the Seoul Hot Chicken Bao.
The renaissance of culinary creativity is in full swing following the pandemic. Pandemic pop-ups are everywhere, and we’re no stranger to standing in line at a brewery or random parking lot to get our hands on the grub. We caught Cabin Attic at Bearded Iris in Germantown and had to try the Surf Shack Fries.
Nicky’s is a Nashville staple! They were recently featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for their meatballs, but before Guy tried them, we needed to! Bring a friend and get the meatballs and a pizza (our fav is the Hey Paisano)!
While famously known as being the DoubleTree signature cookie, we are lucky enough to have a few locations in Nashville so we don’t to book a hotel just to indulge. This month we tried the 8th & Roast x Christie Cookie collab Espresso Brownie Cookie. Unfortunately this was only available for a limited time, but you can always get their ooey gooey chocolate chip.
